Description
Did you know Astrantia’s name is derived from the Latin word for ‘Star’? Astrantia are a clover like flower and grow right through the Summer into Autumn.
To create this flower you will need, floristry wire, a 2cm polystyrene ball, you will also need the fleurs centre dies, when using crepe paper, place the die onto the crepe paper so that the grain of the crepe paper is running vertically down the oval. Once cut, stretch the crepe paper to its full capacity and use wet glue to glue it over and around your chosen size of polystyrene ball. Now cut the small fringes, you will need 12, in turn glue each one to these to the end of a forestry wire wrap around and snip off at around 1.5cm length of wire, these will create the centre of the flower, now cut both sizes of the petals again working with the grain vertically ink and shape as required, position and glue around the base of the wrapped centre.
This set contains 6 dies / 21 cuts:
- Largest die: 1.7cm x 7cm
- Smallest cut: 0.9cm x 3.5cm
